I remember when I went to UH at Manoa, me and my friends would go to Moose Magillycuddy's which was very close to the college and was mostly college students from UH and the all girls college Chaminade, and the favorite drink was the Melon Moose. And the drinking age was 18, which was great since I was from Ca. Also would go to the Shorebird in Waikiki , which was more of a tourist and military restaurant/Bar hangout. This back in the 1980's.
